Dana Linnet
Dana M. Linnet is a global business leader and U.S. national security veteran focused on Defense, Aerospace, and Emerging Technologies. She is President and CEO of The Summit Group DC, an independent advisory firm serving Industry and the institutional investor community focused on growth strategies, U.S. policies and regulations, and minimizing the impact of geopolitical complexities on private sector operations.
Dana was named “Top 100 Aerospace and Aviation Professionals” and contributes to U.S. Government and NATO defense and technology work. She serves as a Senior Advisor for multiple firms including The Roosevelt Group and Donovan Capital Group, as well as on the Boards of Trustees and Governors at DACOR and The DACOR Bacon House Foundation, Board Director for The Washington Tattoo, and is on the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy’s Advisory Council.
Dana served as a senior career diplomat at the U.S. Department of State, working in Europe, the Middle East, the IndoPacific, and in Washington DC. She often represented the Department at senior White House meetings on key policy, intelligence, and operational matters. In the private sector, she was a Lockheed Martin executive responsible for advancing international programs worth over $100BN. Following that, she served as a Senior Advisor and Sales Director for Guidehouse LLP (formerly PWC Public Sector). She also served as the Global Public Sector VP/GM at a Silicon Valley AI tech startup, where she led her team over “the valley of death” and helped secure its Series C round. She is currently invested in and advising a Quantum Tech Startup.
Ms. Linnet holds MA and BA degrees in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and University of California. She has been a guest lecturer at American University, Mississippi College of Law, Army War College, as well as a Class Mentor (3x) for the Global Policy, Diplomacy and Sustainability (GPODS) Fellowship. She has appeared on Bloomberg and Danish TV and conducted regular Space Foundation webinars on international space sector trends. Dana is an active member of dozens professional organizations and is a founding member of Chief. Dana has received multiple awards for her service and operational results from the U.S. Department of State, the Estonian Government, and Lockheed Martin.
